Sales Representative

We are one of the fastest-growing cannabis startups in California looking for a motivated and driven Sales Representative to join our team. You will be responsible for prospecting and closing new business in an assigned territory via cold-calling, in-store presentations, and in trade shows and networking events.

We have a delicious line of delicious chocolate with fruit, toffee & protein products and are developing other food products for the edible market.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new accounts using WeedMaps, social media, and other online tools Set up meetings with dispensary purchasing managers via cold-calling, email, and social media outreach
  • Visit dispensaries on a daily basis dropping off samples, understand customer pain points and desires, and make sales presentations
  • Follow-up with prospective accounts via phone, email and SMS to stay top of and close new business
  • Collaborate with our account management team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients
  • Respond to phone and e-mail inquiries in a timely, efficient and professional manner
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of our full product as well as the latest trends in the cannabis industry
  • Document all sales calls plus feedback from customers to management via CRM program, as well as regular conference call feedback.
  • Maintain customer databases and ensure that all information is up-to-date and accurate

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum one-year sales experience required; relationships with dispensaries (database) exceptional qualification.
  • Prior experience in the medical or recreational marijuana industry preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Proven track record of developing a strategic sales strategy, building new business, and meeting/exceeding quotas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license, CA fingerprint clearance, a reliable vehicle, insurance, and a clean driving and criminal record (this position will require extensive travel)
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with references.
  • Proficient technical skills including use of MS Office, Google Drive, Excel, and CRM
  • Interested in working on commission until established, then draw against commission will be garnered.
  • Ability to travel locally 100%
